Primary Purpose:
The Environmental Compliance Manager provides support and expertise to NS's Environmental Group. This position will focus primarily on the company's compliance with state and federal waste regulations. The Environmental Compliance Manager must have prior experience with and possess a strong understanding of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), its implementing regulations, and state counterparts for all types of regulated waste (e.g. hazardous, universal, used oil, etc.). Broad familiarity with environmental regulations across all media is also preferred. The Environmental Compliance Manager is responsible for monitoring and maintaining NS's environmental compliance with an eye towards continual improvement in compliance systems and programs. The position interfaces heavily with other departments requiring an effective communicator that can build positive relationships with front-line environmental team members. A highly organized candidate with a positive attitude, self-motivation and expertise with an environmental management system and Power BI apps is preferred. Principal Duties will include all or parts of the following:
* Ensure compliance with CWA, RCRA and CAA by overseeing required permits and site-specific plans. Job Related Experience:
