Job Description (General Summary)

Intralox is seeking a Machine, Equipment Service & Repair Technician to join the Facilities Management and Engineering Team at our Twinsburg, Ohio location. This individual will be responsible for learning to troubleshoot and repair complex extrusion machines, Hydraulic systems, process equipment, facilities support equipment and various systems within a high-precision manufacturing facility. In this specialized technical role, you will learn to perform complex repairs, maintenance and programming of machine tools while enhancing the skill set of our current Machine Repair team.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements

Responsibilities:
  • Ability to learn to troubleshoot and repair complex extrusion and injection molding machines, process equipment, facilities support equipment and various systems within a high-precision manufacturing facility.
  • Aptitude to learn to diagnose and repair to a component level, problems in complex precision electro-mechanical machinery and equipment.
  • Identify out of tolerance equipment and gauges.
  • Refrigeration Cycle Knowledge: Understanding how refrigerant flows and changes state within the system.
  • HVAC Fundamentals: Familiarity with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning principles.
  • Fluid Dynamics: Ability to optimize refrigerant and water flow for system efficiency.
  • Pump and Valve Maintenance: Servicing and calibrating pumps, valves, and related components.
  • Electrical Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and repairing wiring, control boards, and sensors.
  • Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs): Installing and adjusting VFDs for motor control.
  • Learn to make appropriate repair decisions adhering to company and customer guidelines.
  • Learn to analyze failures and implement modifications as a preventive maintenance measure.
  • Work with management, equipment manufacturers, vendors and other organizations to analyze problems and make repairs and improvements.
  • Source and order parts, supplies, and services as needed.
  • Use computerized maintenance and calibration tracking system.
  • Reads drawings, schematics, service manuals or verbal instructions and operates a variety of tools and machines incidental to operations.
  • Ensures facility and production equipment is maintained and repairs performed, also ensures appropriate maintenance documentation is completed and filed.
  • Requisitions of new supplies and equipment including reviews for new machine tool purchases.
  • Will be required to be on call to provide telephone assistance as well as emergency response to the facility.
  • Service Reporting: Documenting repairs, inspections, and performance metrics.
Requirements:
  • 3 years plus experience with mechanical and electrical equipment maintenance and installation
  • Types of Chillers: Experience with air-cooled, water-cooled, and absorption chillers.
  • Cooling Towers & Heat Exchangers: Maintaining auxiliary systems that support chiller operation.
  • 3 plus years' experience in Production Equipment
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to customer satisfaction
Desired Qualifications:
  • Chiller Engineer License or another related field license
  • Current enrollment in apprenticeship type program or industrial related maintenance school will be considered
  • Experience/licenses/advanced training with some combination of industrial trades (electrical, refrigeration, boilers, chillers, motor controllers.
