Position Highlights The Athletics Department is dedicated to excellence in collegiate sports, building a modern model of intercollegiate athletics fostering a culture of integrity, innovation, and student-athlete success.

The primary function of this position is to coordinate logistics for the men's basketball team and assist in the development of student-athletes well-being.

This position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, and travel as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all aspects of the daily operations of the
    Men's Basketball program as needed.
  • Work in conjunction with the Compliance Office and
    CATS Academics on initial eligibility & admissions of all potential
    student-athletes.
  • Serve as an Academic liaison to CATS Academics.
  • Liaison for Financial Aid of student-athletes in
    cooperation with the Compliance Office (Pell Grants, etc.).
  • Liaison for student-athlete housing in conjunction
    with the Compliance Office.
  • Liaison to CATS Life Skills, with a focus on Men's
    Basketball Student-Athletes.
  • Coordinate, hire, and supervise the undergraduate
    student-managers.
  • Coordinate Per Diem for all games & winter break.
  • Work with the Compliance office on complimentary
    admissions.
  • Coordinate team travel.
  • Budget Accountability.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of NCAA, Big 12, and University of Arizona
    rules and compliance.
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends, and travel as needed.
  • Experience with basketball video editing software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions.
  • Dedication and motivation to initiate, lead and
    support value-added projects.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and has a positive
    demeanor.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, including the
    ability to plan, establish priorities and successfully manage multiple
    priority projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive
    interpersonal relations.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with
    individuals at all organizational levels, and project a positive,
    professional attitude.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience working with a college basketball program
    as a full-time staff member or student-manager.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree.
  • Experience in Sports Code video editing software.
  • Experience with team travel.
