Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
The offices within the Enrollment Division (Office of Undergraduate Admissions, Office of Scholarships and Student Aid ( OSSA), the Office of the University Registrar, and the Carolina College Advising Corps) focus on increasing the enrollment of outstanding students from North Carolina and beyond, including students who strengthen diversity; meeting the full demonstrated financial need of all undergraduate students who qualify for federal aid; maintaining the integrity of the student record and academic and administrative processes; supporting student success; and providing great care to all who come our way. The work of the Enrollment Division is closely scrutinized by students and their families; by faculty, staff, students, and alumni; by secondary-school teachers and administrators; by lawmakers at the local, state, and national level; and by the media.
Position Summary
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks a collaborative professional to serve as Financial Aid Senior Analyst for Enrollment Systems. Reporting to the IT Director for Enrollment Systems, this information technology specialist will provide systems design, development, and support to advance the mission of the Office of Scholarships and Student Aid, which is responsible for overseeing and disbursing aid for the University's undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. This includes administering $500 million in aid annually to over 30,000 students.

This Senior Analyst will collaborate with leadership, staff, and other internal and external partners to define requirements and design, configure, develop, test, implement, and support technology solutions and business processes that improve or streamline service to students, staff, and faculty. This includes creating and maintaining complex equations for award packaging, Aid Year setup, communications, and federal and institutional loan management. Technology solutions include, but are not limited to, PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and Technolutions Slate.

The successful candidate will demonstrate an outstanding ability to support the Office of Scholarships and Student Aid leadership team and staff in implementing financial aid policies compliant with state, federal, and institutional regulations through complex equations and automated processes using Federal and Institutional methodologies.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Master's and 1-2 years' experience; or Bachelors and 2-4 years' experience; or will accept a combination of related education and experience in substitution.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
At least three years of progressive technical experience in financial aid systems or a related field.
* Experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions or a similar ERP system.
* Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft Equation Engine (or a similar ERP tool for determining financial aid awards).
* Strong ERP Query tools, SQL, and relational database knowledge.
* Proven decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Experience with data analysis, reporting, and understanding of user-centered design foundations are strongly desired.
* Experience with Technolutions Slate or a similar CRM is desired.
