Duties:
Client is seeking a well-rounded E/M Maintenance Technician for their paper manufacturing plant.
-Ideally would like experience in welding (stick and MIG), Allen Bradley Drives, PLC, Servos, and HMI skills. Make sure to get a clear picture of their capabilities.

Highschool diploma or equivalent needed
5+ years experience preferred
Strong math skills
Certificate in electrical preferred
This position works with operations to ensure the equipment is working to its optimum performance mechanically and/or electrically. It is the responsibility of this position to control inventory for mechanical and/or electrical maintenance. This position is expected to follow work assignments for the mechanical and/or electrical maintenance operators and resolve equipment and operator issues. This position may provide shift coverage for facility. If working in a PM Mechanic capacity, this position will provide, develop routes and maintain records for lubrication, vibration analysis, and thermos graphic (for mechanical devices) services plant wide.
Installs and repairs mechanical and/or electrical systems, apparatus, and mechanical and/or electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical and/or electrical and electronic test equipment.
May diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair process related failures.
This position is subject to Call-In policy.
Support other Team members when required and complete all other tasks and projects as assigned by the site management team. Must maintain and encourage a positive work attitude.
Job description:
Some Main Accountabilities
* Diagnoses, repairs and maintains, in accordance with diagrams, drawings, operation manuals and manufacturer's specifications, machinery and equipment, such as motors, rolls, pneumatic devices, conveyors and other production machines and equipment, using hand tools, power tools, hoists, cranes and precision measuring, alignment and testing instruments.
* Diagnoses and repairs/replaces faulty electrical components, such as transformers, lighting fixtures, relays, switches, drives, HMI's and printed circuit boards, using electronic test equipment and hand tools.
* Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments, using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
* Tests and evaluates proper operation of equipment and confirms that equipment condition is suitable for normal operations. Observes and listens to devices in operation to locate causes of trouble.
* Lubricates rotating equipment, cleans parts and replaces air filters.
* Replaces damaged or broken wires and cables, using hand tools.
* Replaces electric motors, bearings, disconnect and reconnect motor connections.
* Communicates equipment status and problems to Plant Operations and Maintenance Personnel.
* Set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.

* Can work in hot and damp environment
* Flexible work hours, outside the core hours, as necessary
* Team player
* 12 volt to 600 volt electrical systems
* PLC experience a plus
* Construction skills (conduit installing, pulling & terminating conductors, etc.)
* Must provide own hand tools
