Senior Software Engineer

Build the Next Gen Applications Suite to automate applications' deployments. Along with writing effective code, the position will be responsible for designing, building, delivering, and maintaining a highly scalable set of products and applications. Play a pivotal role in automating the scaling and management of server resources, implementing code for zero-downtime deployments and facilitating best-in-class DevOps practices. Use the best industry practices and work collaboratively with cross-functional team of product managers, UX designers, architects, principal engineers, software engineers, test automation team and DevOPS engineers. Must live within reasonable commuting distance from HQ and able to appear in office as required.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in Insurance/Technology-related role or in the job offered.

Experience and/or education must include:

1. Manage server environments, deploying applications, and ensuring system stability with Linux administration; 

2. Configuring, deploying, and managing application servers, using WebLogic, JBoss, Tomcat;

3. Automating routine tasks, managing system operations, and streamlining workflows through scripting with Shell, Groovy, and Python;

4. Azure Cloud services including storage, virtual machines, and networking;

5. Enable automated testing, building, and deployment of applications using CI/CID Pipeline (Jenkins, Cloudbees, Docker, Run Deck);.

6. LDAP/SiteMinderfor user authentication and access control;

7. Experience monitoring system health, application performance, and infrastructure using tools such as Datadog.
