JOB MISSION:
As Senior Product Manager, Trail Running, you are a key member of the Running Global Business Unit (GBU) building and executing the Trail Running line plan. You are both a product and consumer expert for the New Balance brand, leading a team that is creating industry leading trail running product with the goal of making runners/athletes better every day. You have a passion for trail running or road running.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Lead the creation & execution of the trail running category vision & product line strategically aligned with the needs of the global consumer, now, and in the future. Creatively brief and inspire the design and marketing teams.

  • Conduct market research with a strong POV and passion for the trail running community and category, and how trail running product enhances the experience of the runner.

  • Incorporate information from Global Consumer Insights & Analytics, Design, Development, Global Merchandising and Global Marketing to effectively bring to market-leading footwear solutions to market.

  • Achieve sales revenue, unit margins, and brand share objectives for your category.

  • Serve as the point-person for New Balance trail running athletes to identify and solve for their training and competition footwear needs. Act as a category spokesperson with internal and external audiences to maximize the successful execution of product initiatives in the marketplace.

  • Input seasonal go-to-market strategies in collaboration with global teams.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related area preferred.

  • 8+ years' experience in a product management, merchandising or related role; preferably in the trail running or outdoor market.

  • Organized, strategic thinker with deep understanding of and experience assessing global consumer needs.

  • Understanding of the global running consumer & what drives them across sport, style & culture. Passion for improving the experience and performance of runners.

  • Strong analytical skills and action-oriented approach to utilizing data to drive decision making and results.

  • Proven track record of leading product initiatives from concept to market.

  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders.

Flexible Work Schedule

New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). To continue our focus on hybrid work we have introduced "Work from Anywhere" (WFA) for four weeks per calendar year.
