HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Legal Advisory: Serve as the point of contact for ethics and compliance questions within the Firm, guiding a wide-variety of matters, including, organizational and individual conflict, gifting, the receipt and use of Non-Public Information, RFPs, RFQs, working within government entity agreements and expectations, training, and providing daily advice to a wide variety of domestic and international colleagues who will rely on your education and expertise to guide them through specific and complex issues.
- Due Diligence: Support your colleagues through the acquisition and analysis of publicly sourced data. This is mission-critical in the day-to-day guidance you will be providing to your colleagues when introducing new partners to the organization, in the Firm's merger and acquisition activities, including the training and the integration processes.
- Nurture and enhance our due diligence program. Strong analytical skills are necessary to be a successful candidate.
- Inform: Provide input to the CEO, Board of Directors, and other Executives on identified or potential risks with remediation plans to minimize those risks. Assist in the Firm's adherence to risk management -policies and facilitate their implementation across the organization.
- Communicate: Be a relationship builder in the Firm, contributing to an effective communication program for the department. Collaborative personality a must.
- Investigate: Participate in or lead investigations (formal or informal). Respond to alleged violations of policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures.
- Create: Develop and draft new practices and policies as well as periodically review and update the Code of Conduct and related policies.
- Pro-active Actions: Identify potential areas of vulnerability or risk through audit and monitoring with recommendations to mitigate them.
- Teach: Participate in office or team meetings with Ethics and Compliance updates. Teach employees about our policies and procedures. Identify appropriate employee training (new or existing).
- Counsel: Respond with urgency to employee questions or concerns.
- Lead: Become the POC with E+C Integrity Champions in every office. Participate in various internal groups as their E+C resource.
- Manage: Multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and prioritize projects along with ad hoc requests/initiatives.
- Partner: With IT to grow and enhance the AI program.
- Serve: Aas an Ethics and Compliance thought leader to internal and external stakeholders.
- Respond: to a wide variety of inquiries in a timely manner.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- A Juris Doctorate is required.
- A passion for legal, ethics and compliance matters.
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience is required.
- Must be admitted to the bar in the United States.
- Proven experience in due diligence searches and analysis is essential.
- Experience in the architectural, engineering, or construction industry is preferred.
- Experience in software applications, AI, and due diligence search tool is advantageous.
- Exceptional skills in writing, research, communication, timeliness, and organization are crucial.
- Must be self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision in a remote setting.
- Ability to work independently and make sound judgments in a fast-paced environment is a must.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, business and organizational needs.
- Ability to be a thought leader and relationship builder is essential.
- Auditing experience is a plus.
- Industry certification, such as the CCEP or CCEP-I credential, a plus.
The salary range for this position is $109,400 to $138,600 annually. This salary range is the range we believe is the anticipated range of possible base compensation at the timing of the posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the anticipated salary range for the position. Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses. We offer a full benefit package including medical, dental and vision coverage and flexible spending account options and voluntary insurances.
