POSITION SUMMARY:
To receive, inventory, stock and distribute all vendor and Warehouse provided products, linens and materials and replenish medical/surgical supplies and linens for the nursing units and other hospital departments. EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required. EXPERIENCE: 1 year experience in an inventory and materials handling aide or other similar position. Work within health care facility or medical supply environment preferred. SPECIAL SKILLS: Requires good eye-hand coordination. Basic mathematical skills required. Ability to operate computer terminals and printers. Ability to learn medical supply terminology to improve customer interaction. Ability to organize workload and ability to cope well under emergency and stressful situations. Ability to work cooperatively with members of the healthcare delivery team, staff, and co-workers.
