INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER
DUNCAN, SOUTH CAROLINA - DUNCAN PLANT

As a member of the Engineering team, the Industrial Engineer will be responsible fororganizing engineering and management objectives for launch readiness, labor optimization objectives, and production responsiveness.

The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:



  • Design production and warehousing process. Maintain plant layouts in CAD.
  • Lead process improvement activities with cross functional teams.
  • Develop and maintain standard minutes using Maynard Operation Sequence Technique (MOST) for production and material handling processes.
  • Develop and maintain Process flow diagrams and PFMEA's for production process.
  • Responsible for assisting with optimization of manual, electric and pneumatic hand tools.
  • Preparation and maintenance of Standard Work Instruction (SWI) sheets.
  • Initiate and lea continuous improvement projects.
  • Analyze data to optimize processes and their performance to KPI.
  • Assist associates, team leaders and process technicians in troubleshooting manufacturing problems.
  • Support ergonomic evaluations and equipment improvements.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities, as deemed necessary by engineering.


Your Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or in a related field of study.
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or Industrial Engineer or in a related occupation.
  • Experience must include CAD, Time study, value stream mapping, and PFMEA.
  • Clear understanding of modular bill of materials.
  • Bias to take initiative and ability to work with minimal guidance.
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


Preferred Knowledge/Experience:



  • Possess knowledge of ISO 14001, OSHA, and IATF 16949 requirements and compliance.
  • Experience with AS400 and/or SAP (ERP).
  • Experience with manual assembly-style manufacturing.
  • Experience using Lean methodologies and quality core tools.
