We are seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our team. The ideal candidate is data-driven and prefers gathering and presenting objective measurements over simply narrating issues. This role focuses on chemical-based "wet processes" and requires close collaboration with the chemical laboratory, maintenance team, chemical suppliers, and production floor to ensure bath stability and equipment functionality. While prior industry experience is not required, a solid understanding of electrochemistry fundamentals, particularly electrodeposition of Ni, Cu, and Au, is essential. Experience with process characterization, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Design of Experiments (DOE) is also critical. A methodical, analytical approach is expected in troubleshooting both bath and equipment-related issues. Success in this role requires the ability to work in a cross-functional environment, effectively gathering information from maintenance, laboratory staff, operators, and vendors to expedite problem resolution. Thorough documentation practices are essential for success in our facility. The engineer must be organized and capable of maintaining traceable records, including chemical inventory, process timelines, consumption data, and bath degradation tracking. A strong reliance on statistical data to monitor throughput and bath integrity is required. The position also demands a proactive mindset, with the ability to anticipate and address potential issues to minimize downtime and process variability. Familiarity with wet chemistry safety protocols and chemical handling is a must. Applicants who do not strongly embody these qualities will not be a good fit for our team. |
