The Position

The Opportunity:

  • Responsible for assay product delivery to support pharmaceutical partnerships and organization commitments.

  • This position will serve as a leader within the Personalized Health Care Solutions (PHCS) assay development team. The individual will participate in the PHCS assay development leadership team meetings, project team meetings as needed, and provide support for their direct reports as well as extended development team members.This position will be responsible for a team within the PHCS assay development organization.

  • Serves as development interface to pharmaceutical partner colleagues, global health authorities, and other internal functional representatives as needed.

  • This position will identify growth opportunities for team members and support individuals in their career aspirations.

  • This position represents a level in which the incumbent is primarily responsible for technical/product strategic direction in conjunction with justifying, identifying, procuring, and managing the physical, budgetary and human resources required for supporting the development of diagnostic instrument and/or reagent systems.

  • This position will manage the core development team members and serve as the interface for cross-functional team members throughout the duration of the product life cycle.

  • This position also identifies and networks with other functional areas within the company as required to expedite the product development cycle. This position will identify areas of improvement and support efficiency gains within the development organization.

  • Works to define product requirements and translate into appropriate development plans as applicable.

  • Also works cross functionally to develop short and long term development strategies.

  • May also have functional area responsibility for one or more disciplines in the product development and/or project/program management area.

  • Sets goals and standards for the team and is responsible for creating an environment which supports rapid and efficient product development.

  • Participates in development of patent applications.

  • Identifies manufacturing process strategies to support new and existing products.

  • Participates or leads in efforts to define new components, products, or processes.

  • Provides technical direction and feedback to others.

  • Promotes and participates in the professional development of scientists and extended development team members.

  • Uses professional concepts to contribute to the development of product or process principles and to achieve objectives in creative and effective ways.

  • Experienced lead serving in a technical capacity across several PHCS or other assay projects.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead highly complex or multiple projects in a technical capacity.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Tucson is $135,100 to $250,900. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below. Benefits
