Plasma Burn Table Operator

Staffmark is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Plasma Burn Table Operator to join our client's fabrication team. In this hands-on role, you'll set up, program, and operate a CNC plasma cutting table to process metal materials with precision and efficiency. Ideal candidates have a strong mechanical aptitude, a solid understanding of metal properties, and experience reading blueprints or CAD drawings.

Starting Pay: $18/hour (Pay based on experience)

Schedule:

• 12-hour shifts, Monday-Friday
• Some Saturdays required

Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC plasma cutting table to cut and shape metal plates/sheets
• Read and interpret blueprints, CAD files, and work orders
• Set machine parameters (feed rate, torch height, cutting speed)
• Load/unload raw materials and finished parts
• Monitor machine performance and conduct quality checks
• Perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean work area

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred
• 1-3 years of experience with CNC plasma cutting or similar equipment
• Proficient in blueprint reading and using measuring tools (calipers, tape, etc.)
• Familiarity with CNC or nesting software (AutoCAD preferred)
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for long periods
• Knowledge of steel grades, thicknesses, and cutting characteristics
