T-Rex is looking for a talented Linux System Administrator to work on a program in the Annapolis Junction area in support of the Intelligence Community.

We are seeking a Mid-Level Linux System Administrator to work on a fast-paced team of system administrators providing support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems for critical enterprise applications.

Responsibilities:



  • The selected candidate would manageIT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems and providesupport to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all the client, server, storage, network devices, Etc.
  • ProvideTier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
  • Providesupport for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Providesupport for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.
  • Configureand manageUNIX and Windows operating systems, installand loadoperating system software, troubleshoot, maintainintegrity and configurenetwork components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.



Requirements:



  • A bachelor's degree and ten (10) years of experience as a system administrator on programs of similar scope and complexity is required. In lieu of a bachelor's degree fifteen (15) years of experience required.
  • In depth Linux experience.
  • Key Technologies include: Linux, Ansible, Terraform, Windows, AWS, Atlassian Tool Suite
  • Experience with system hardening.
  • Experience working with ISSOs for system compliance.
  • DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level I is required.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI with FSP security clearance is required.

  • Familiarity with Ansible and Terraform

In compliance with pay transparency guidelines, the annual base salary range for this position is $140,000 - $170,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. T-Rex considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
