Overview

To lead the development, management, and evaluation of strategic wellness programs. Responsible for driving employee engagement and promoting a culture of well-being across the organization. Ensure wellness initiatives are aligned with and support company goals and objectives. Work independently to develop solutions to highly complex business challenges that have a significant impact on the achievement of operational goals. Specialized skill set and expert level of proficiency with procedures and techniques. Recognized as an expert in own area within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and management of strategic wellness programs to include health promotion, engagement, behavior change and other related programs.
  • Proactively monitor and analyze wellness program data; track industry trends and best practices to ensure wellness programs remain competitive; present conclusions and recommendations to improve program effectiveness.
  • Lead the selection and management of vendors to include contract development and implementation; oversee contract quality assurance and budget for the division.
  • Evaluate delivery, customer service satisfaction and effectiveness of division vendors; ensure vendor integration with other benefits vendors.
  • Provide guidance and consult with business unit leaders to create and develop custom wellness programs, resources and training that will support the business unit needs and company objectives.
  • Collaborate with and advise senior leadership to integrate wellness into organizational strategy, policies, and practices.
  • Oversee annual wellness communications plan; coordinate with Internal Communications to develop and draft communications and other written materials to support the corporate wellness strategy.
  • Partner, advise, and maintain relationships with team members, management, to include executive or senior leadership, key stakeholders, and vendors to ensure service and quality of wellness programs meet and/or exceed expectations.
  • As subject matter expert, collaborate with and lead inter-departmental teams to influence, develop and integrate wellness programming and policies, including making recommendations that tie in with broader enterprise strategy.
  • Lead development of strategic plans, tactics and goals for the division using data-driven and qualitative insights to include broader strategic considerations.
  • Mentor junior and developing staff.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience
  • Subject matter expert within business area/specialization with understanding of interrelationships of different disciplines
  • Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence executive decisions
  • Significant experience overseeing the design, implementation, and evaluation of high-impact wellness programs
  • Expert knowledge of corporate wellness programs and initiatives
  • Expert knowledge of behavior change theory and its application to diverse populations
  • Specialized skill in collecting and analyzing data to evaluate program effectiveness
  • Significant experience in working with all levels of staff, management, stakeholders, vendors
  • Specialized skill to successfully influence, lead and/or guide others towards goals
  • Significant experience managing and leading multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goals
  • Specialized skill building relationships through rapport, trust, diplomacy and tact
  • Expert ability to compile, organize and present information clearly and concisely
  • Specialized skill exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisions
  • Expert verbal and written communication skills
  • Expert organizational, planning and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate integrity
  • Ability to mentor junior and developing staff.
  • Bachelor's degree in health promotion or related field, or equivalent training, education, and experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree in related field or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
  • Certified Health Education Specialist or other health/wellness related certification

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
