GENERAL FUNCTION

The Graphic Designer, Art Production is responsible for the execution of graphic design and art production across all categories and programs-inclusive of in-line and special project brand collaborations. They will receive direction from senior design creatives and provide thoughtful research for creative pitch meetings as well as produce print-ready vector and graphic logos across multiple design categories.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Operates cross-functionally with senior creative leadership and product teams to lead research and manage graphic projects from conception to delivery, for both in-line styles and special projects (brand collaborations, licensed artwork).
  • Work independently and collaboratively as needed, to complete a variety of graphic design and art production tasks based on direction from senior creative.
  • Produces detailed sketches of design concepts inclusive of color and graphics, with a clear understanding of how the concepts can be actualized into product.
  • Constructs accurate tech packs for designated categories, updating them throughout the season with any design changes
  • Engages in thorough seasonal research and organization for creative meeting pitches
  • Execute thoughtful color direction and pattern design
  • Prepare print-ready vector or PSD art files for vendors
  • Serves as a design resource for the team providing graphic support and specializing in typeface work and logo adaptations.
  • Ensures that product is consistent while maintaining the brand identity and organization strategy
  • Execute detailed and accurate spec. requirements for mock-up, tech pack and sample development
  • Take precise notes on all product revisions and provide detailed comments to Product Development team to communicate corrections in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all projects are met within deadlines


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • BFA in Graphic Design or 3-5 years relevant working experience
  • Strong Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills; working knowledge of other current design applications
  • Excellent understanding of typography
  • Strong attention to detail when finalizing designs
  • Ability to effectively communicate with business partners at all levels
  • Strong time management and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience building detailed tech packs and passing specs in a clear and organized manner to PD for factory proto sample making
  • Adaptive design eye and skill
  • Must have knowledge of garment construction, menswear preferred but not required
