Our INVISTA Victoria, TX site is seeking a Turnaround Scheduler to join the team.

Our Team

The Turnaround Scheduler is responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive turnaround execution schedule that seamlessly integrates all turnaround, decommissioning, maintenance, project, commissioning, and start-up activities into an optimized and actionable execution plan. The scheduler supports all phases of the turnaround process, including Planning, Preparation, Execution, and Post-turnaround, as outlined in the Turnaround Plan-to-Plan framework.

Key responsibilities include active participation in the planning process, leveraging activity logic relationships, and utilizing advanced scheduling software to ensure accuracy and efficiency. During the execution phase, the Turnaround Scheduler acts as the primary resource manager, coordinating and managing the schedule to facilitate smooth and timely turnaround completion.

What You Will Do

  • Configure and maintain turnaround scheduling software to ensure all Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) requirements are met, including development of high-level schedules across all INVISTA manufacturing sites.
  • Lead the creation of a fully integrated turnaround execution schedule incorporating:
    • Turnaround and decommission activities with proper sequencing and relationships.
    • Detailed work scopes in stepped-out job plans featuring realistic inter- and intra-logic relationships.
    • Commissioning and startup activities with correct sequencing and quality assurance "hold points."
    • Resource coding and activity responsibilities.
    • Flexible schedule reporting aligned with different execution phases.
  • Facilitate full utilization of scheduling tools by deploying planning and scheduling best practices.
  • Develop and implement schedule review plans to optimize plant reliability, turnaround costs, and adhere to safety requirements.
  • Analyze execution schedules to provide advanced warnings of unfavorable trends and identify vulnerabilities requiring contingency planning before turnaround.
  • Utilize performance metrics to report field progress and continuously improve turnaround scheduling processes.
  • Issue daily work schedules during execution that reflect prior progress and realistic work expectations.
  • Collaborate closely with planners, field coordinators, supervisors, and operations to ensure priorities are clearly understood and accurately reflected in the schedule.
  • Apply Critical Path Methodology (CPM) to evaluate and optimize job plans for feasibility and execution effectiveness.
  • Provide real-time schedule compliance reporting and analysis throughout turnaround execution.
  • Lead resolution of priority conflicts involving execution resources such as labor, materials, equipment, and tools.
  • Report actual progress of scheduling efforts regularly, proposing recovery plans as necessary.
  • Actively participate in post-turnaround critiques and reporting to foster continuous improvement.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Fifteen (15) or more years of Primavera P6 Software scheduling experience
  • Completed at least 4 Turnaround events as lead scheduler.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project)

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience with SAP/Asset Suite
  • Turnaround/Outage Experience
