The Mold Technician A will perform, duties from, setting up injection molds, auxiliary equipment, following defined process, minor maintenance, safety checks on equipment, and troubleshooting as needed.



Schedule:



  • 12-Hour Rotating Day Shift
  • Hours: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
  • 2-2-3 rotation (work 2 days, off 2 days, work 3 days; then alternates)
  • Also available in Night Shift


Pay starting at $27/hr depnding on experience

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Work safely and efficiently
Follow pre-defined press schedule for job-specific requirements
Sets-up production molding jobs, including Mold setting, Process documents, Materials, and Auxiliary equipment
Gather all process data, job information and enters into injection molding machine and auxiliary equipment and starts production job
Handle raw material
Verify product meets customer and quality requirements, perform trouble shooting when necessary
Perform routine minor equipment maintenance and safety checks on molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
Participate in WD training programs.
Participate in plant-wide safety efforts.
Provide plant-wide support.
Other duties as assigned

Experience and Qualifications

High school education
One year of post-secondary education in injection molding.
One year as Mold Technician plus 3 years as Set-Up Technician or equivalent combination of training and experience or demonstrated capability to perform the duties of the job.
Ability to lift 60 pounds and stand/walk for entire shift duration (12 hours
Strong communication & organizational skills
Strong mechanical aptitude
