The company is looking to hire a Planning Analyst within the Manufacturing Planning - Corporate Planning department. This is an on-site position located in Cleveland, OH. As a Planning Analyst at Cleveland-Cliffs, you can expect to interact primarily with local planning groups across the production facilities, in addition to other stakeholder groups such as Commercial Sales, Finance, and Quality.The ideal candidate will be responsible for collaboration with Plant Planning groups to optimize product flow as part of the monthly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and annual Business Planning processes.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strong understanding of the manufacturing processes and flows across the Cleveland-Cliffs footprint

  • Create high-level network production plans for the forecast horizon to support commercial demand

  • Balance capacity and demand, working with Plant Planning to validate required inputs to the process

  • Construct various scenarios of current and/or future demand, constraint, or other operating conditions to assess the impact on business objectives

  • Ensure accuracy of data inputs/outputs to the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and Business Planning processes

  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, providing detailed analyses and interpretation as needed

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a similar field

  • 3-5 years of experience in production planning, inventory control, or scheduling

  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills

  • Comfort & experience summarizing, formatting, and handling large data sets

  • Ability to communicate effectively & efficiently with various levels within the organization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management/Operations

  • Experience in a steel manufacturing environment

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel experience

  • SQL programming exposure
