Interior Designer(s) (full-time; multiple openings) needed to work in Newport Beach, California to participate in marketing (proposals for new projects and interviews) and business development efforts for new commercial interior design projects. Create conceptual design packages for feasibility studies, projects, and competitions. Lead and direct team members on the development of design throughout schematic and design development phases. Formulate approach to design presentations and work with team members to develop presentation content. Present design concepts to clients. Incorporate feedback into design updates. Research artistic and technical issues. Participate in selection of color palette, materials, and finishes to appropriately convey design concepts, and to meet functional, socio-psychological and safety requirements. Build 3D architectural and interior design models and graphic presentations. Collaborate with design team and develop solutions that are coordinated through the construction documentation phase of a project. Provision of contract documents to facilitate pricing, procurement and installation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E). Assist licensed architect in validating and facilitating design decision via technology tools such as digital fabrication, physical mock-up, and virtual reality. Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes and lighting.

Must have a Master's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field, plus two (2) years of related interior design experience (non-intern; non-fellowship) with all of the following:

(1) Experience with 2D/3D modeling and animation walkthroughs in Building Information Modeling (BIM), 3-D Studio Max; AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, SketchUp, Lumion, Unreal Engine, and Adobe (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, AfterEffect, Premiere);

(2) Perform interior design assignments that include interpreting client needs, test fitting, space planning, conceptual design, schematic design and design development for workplace and education interiors clients to include conference centers, restrooms, lobby areas and hospitality bar areas;

(3) Producing 3D renderings and design presentations using Rhino, SketchUp, V-Ray and Enscape;

(4) Coordinating with consultants, contractors, fabricators, furniture dealers and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives;

(5) Designing workplace interiors for large scale commercial building projects, and higher education clients; specifically landlord services and repositioning projects;

(6) Using InDesign, Bluebeam Revu, and Miro to create client presentations conveying overall design concept and design development;

(7) Producing in Revit: permit drawing sets including construction and furniture plans, finish plans, reflected ceiling plans, sections, and elevations; AND

(8) Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting.

In the alternative, we will accept a Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field, plus five (5) years of progressive post-bachelor's degree related interior design experience (non-intern; non-fellowship). Two (2) years of the five (5) years of progressive post-bachelor's degree related interior design experience (non-intern, non-fellowship) must include experience with all of the following:

(1) Experience with 2D/3D modeling and animation walkthroughs in Building Information Modeling (BIM), 3-D Studio Max; AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, SketchUp, Lumion, Unreal Engine, and Adobe (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, AfterEffect, Premiere);

Must have valid NCIDQ license. All experience may be acquired concurrently. Incidental telecommuting may apply.

The base salary range is $97,406.00 to $97,406.00, commensurate with relevant experience. Standard benefits will be offered, and employees will be eligible for bonuses.
