Job Summary
Accurity Industrial Contractors is looking for talented and seasoned Field Superintendent for Local and Field jobs across the US. Accurity field superintendents are responsible for the on-site daily tasks including but not limited to:

  • Pre-Construction meetings - Review project estimates, manpower loading, customer drawings and assist the Project Manager in setting up the project prior to onsite arrival.
  • Safety - Conduct/manage safety tailgate meetings, safety JSA paperwork, overall project safety statistics and helping to keep our people safe and injury free.
  • Project paperwork - Ensure proper time sheets are turned in weekly, produce daily reports showing delays, equipment issues and manpower needs, managing customer drawings and changes.
  • Manpower - Managing all on site manpower, staying ahead of project needs, insuring all employees have what they need to do their work, help with the training of younger/inexperienced employees and disciplinary needs.
  • Equipment - Manage all on site equipment both company owned and 3rd party rentals, from determining project needs prior to job start to ensuring proper use, ensuring all workers are properly trained on equipment, call off equipment when done.
  • Subcontractor management - Assist the project manager by assisting on site subcontractors, helping the PM by understanding their scope, insuring that they are following their scope of work while meeting our customers needs, safety protocols and staying in the project budgets.
  • Change management - Assisting the PM with the management of change, this includes assistance writing RFI's, change orders and keeping RFI and change order logs.
  • Customer delight - Work with our customers to make sure we are meeting there needs as contracted to perform the work and to meet our financial needs on each project.
  • Project closeout - Assist the QA/QC department to red line drawings, assist with welder information, perform punch list items and anything else needed to leave a delighted customer while maintaining company financial goals.

Essential Duties and Functions:

  • Read and understand detailed blueprints.
  • Perform and demonstrate safe work practices.
  • Perform Pre Job-Planning
  • Must be familiar with metal, structural and piping fabrication and installation, steam piping installation and ASME code welding, heavy rigging & lifting practices, and general industrial/mechanical equipment.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and solve any problems as they arise on the job site to: (A) keep employees safe, (B) ensure the work remains on schedule and, (C) the customers' expectations are exceeded
  • Report safety violations and any foreseeable safety issues directly to safety manager


Required Experience:

  • Must have a familiarity with and/or be able to use SMAW, TIG, and MIG welding processes
  • Must be able to identify and coordinate the tooling and equipment needs for crews in advance and ensure such items are on site when needed
  • Must be able to keep proper daily job site records and track all paperwork (i.e. time sheets, safety meetings (JSA), accident/incident reports, delivery tickets, purchase orders, etc.) for the assigned job
  • Must keep a current tool list inventory of assigned tools and equipment on the jobs and be ultimately responsible for the maintenance, safety inspections, and proper care of all company tools and equipment on their tool list inventory


Pay & Benefits:
Pay: Hourly compensation depending on experience. Most supervisors average 40 - 60 hours per week, with all hours over 40 paid at time & half.

Expected Travel:

  • This position requires extensive travel, most jobs are a month to 6 weeks long, with some lasting 6 months to a year.
  • We also perform outage work, sometimes back-to-back outages for different customers, and can go for 3 months at a time with little or no breaks.
  • Travel is paid with daily per diem and is not taxable.
