Job Description:

Senior Scientist for Entegris Inc., Danbury, CT.

Developing new analytical methods, leading various analytical capability improvements, maintaining analytical equipment and developing new products and improving current products; Support customer requests and work closely and effectively with Sales, Marketing, Research and Engineering; Safely perform liquid phase analysis with a focus on chromatography to support current and new product development and internal/external customer requests; Develop and validate new analytical methods for measuring trace and assay impurities in liquid phase products; Continuous improvement for existing analytical methods to meet growing customer demand; Establish detection limits, accuracy, precision, and stability for analytical methods via MSA methodology; Support analytical development projects on a global scale to meet internal and external customer requirements; Design, set up, and execute experiments - analyze data and communicate results to the team (or customers) via reports and presentations; Provide technical support to sales, marketing, and global R&D; Write and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Work Instructions, reports, and audits including MSA and V&Q documentation; Train other team members on analytical instruments, methods, SOP's, etc.; and Maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation including HPLC, Q-TOF, GCMS, LCMS, ICMS.

10~20% travel, both domestic and international, to support customer and business unit and develop technical skills.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field and 5 years of progressive post bachelor's experience as a chemist or scientist in an R&D lab setting.

Must have 3 years hands on experience with/in: Running, troubleshooting, maintaining instrumentation including HPLC, Q-TOF, GCMS, LCMS and ICMS; Product Development; Material characterization; Method development; and Writing, collaborating and presenting on analytical and technical findings including to external and internal stakeholders.

Salary: $120,224/year
