Job Description:
Responsibilities
* Machine complex tooling and fixtures working with Manufacturing Engineering and Design
*Engineering
* Perform secondary operations on production units by using manual multi axis millers and lathes,
*manual drill presses, shears, saws, etc.
*Set-up and run manual machine shop equipment including multi axis millers and lathes, manual
*drill presses, shears, saws, etc.
* Set-up and operate surface grinding machines.
*Work from drawings, prints, and / or work instructions.
*Develop, fabricate, and sharpen various cutting tools and specialty tools.
*Inspect GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) features using basic and advanced
*inspection techniques.
*Cut open welded units to complete production operations.
*Assist shop management in training shop employees in common machine shop practices and
*company specific processes and procedures.
* All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
*High mechanical aptitude
*Knows how to read blueprints
*Proficiency in trigonometry
*Working knowledge of computers.
*Understand the mechanics of chip formation and metal cutting.
*Knowledge of ANSI/EIA RS - 274 ('G' code NC programs)
*High School Diploma or GED from accredited institution
*3+ years" experience in trade as a tool maker.
*Experience or formal education in design/drafting with emphasis on CAD
*Resides within a reasonable commuting distance.
*US person within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a US person as a US Citizen, US
*Permanent resident (Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee
*Preferred:
*AS in technical field.
