XLA is actively seeking a SharePoint Specialist to join our team supporting a Federal Client onsite in Arlington, Virginia. This position requires experience with SharePoint Pages, Sites and Content Development and Management. Experience with creating Forms and Workflows is needed, as well as, knowledge and prior experience developing custom applications. Candidate must have a minimum 3 years of progressive and related work experience and a Bachelor's degree in order to be considered for this position.

Primary Job Duties



  • Develops, deploys, customizes, and integrates Microsoft SharePoint:
  • SharePoint Objects (Sites, Webs, Execution Contexts, Site Collections, Portals), and SharePoint Lists, Libraries, Features, Solutions, Web Parts, and Event Receivers.
  • SharePoint365 PowerApps, Lists, PowerAutomate, Form, is Required
  • Customizes SharePoint user interface elements with Custom Actions and Controls
  • Identifies and removes prohibited (CSS, JQuery, etc.) content as needed
  • Augments OOTB SharePoint Workflows and creates custom Workflows and Forms as needed
  • Develops SharePoint REST APIs using Access Tokens
  • Develops using Developer Tools:
  • SharePoint Designer, InfoPath Designer, Power Automate, PowerBI, Flow, Visual Studio, SQL
  • Creates custom client code using REST/OData APIs and Client-Side Object Mode (CSOM) APIs (.NET CRL and JSOM).
  • Creates, installs, updates, publishes, and uninstalls SharePoint Apps.


  • Participate in the SharePoint development cycle, documents and ensures activities comply with DEA/DOJ standards
  • Provides training to all level of personnel for the administration and use of the SharePoint Solution.
  • Analyzes the results of workflow plans, monitors the operating system(s) and recommends changes to improve processing and utilization.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to document automation requirements
  • Review current / existing business processes and provide feedback on areas that would benefit from automation.
  • Expert knowledge in all Microsoft 365 applications related to SharePoint, including PowerApps, Lists, PowerAutomate, Forms, and SharePoint 365.
  • Communicate and collaborate with leadership stakeholders internal and external to the Office of Administration regarding SharePoint design/tool intent



Functional Responsibilities:



  • Candidate will both Develop and Manage SharePoint Sites, Pages, Lists, Libraries, Content, Forms, Workflow, Custom Applications.
  • Experience with SharePoint Designer and InfoPath, PowerBI a plus.
  • Requirement Gathering: Experience writing requirements, acceptance criteria, and tracking work using collaboration tool like SharePoint.
  • Testing: Experience writing test scripts and application testing.


Minimum Experience/Education/Certification/Certification: Bachelor's Degree. SharePoint Training and/or Certifications a plus. Minimum 3 years of experience
