Position Summary

Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for a Acquisition Specialist supporting the Space Systems Command (SSC) SLD 45 LTRS program office in the United States Space Force. This position supports SSC SAFS Range Control efforts to provide support of acquisition processes and program management processes for the LTRs program enabling Project Program Managers to achieve objective/threshhold benchmarks for cost, schedule, and performance of portfolio projects.

As an Acquisition Specialist you will support the day-to-day business operations, planning, programming, budget, and execution (PPBE), acquisition reporting, management and communications/media.

This is a remote position with occasional travel up to 15% per the customer's discretion.



Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

    Analyze various phases of the planning, programming, budgeting, and execution process as it applies to the administration and management of all programs and provide the Government recommendations
  • Maintain processes for accurately and thoroughly responding to planning, programming, budgeting, and execution management activities in accordance with official directives, regulations, and guidance
  • Support the development of external briefings for the program office including but not limited to; Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and various financial reviews.
  • Perform research, conduct reviews, and provide assessments relative to project cost, schedule and performance
  • Support the development of cost and schedule analysis for LTRS acquisition projects that considers currently managed risk and future risk that is identified during strategic acquisition planning and program execution
  • Provide detailed, quantifiable documentation and thorough justification for assessment findings, corrective action plans, and recommendations
  • Must possess strong writing skills and ability to manage multiple on-going processes.
  • MS Office suite of tools experience required: SharePoint and Project


Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Minimum Required Qualifications

Clearance: Must have an active DoD Secret clearance and be able to maintain it.

Education: High School Diploma or higher

Years of Experience: At least 9 years of experience in related field

Certifications: NA

Preferred Qualifications

Education and Years' of experience:

  • Associates degree or higher and at least 7 years of experience in related field.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher and at least 3 years of demonstrated experience in a related field.

Additional Information

Location: On-site at Peterson SFB, with telework capabilities for local candidates

Travel: Occasional travel up to 15% per the customer's discretion.

Remote: This is a remote position.
