Reporting to the Director, Gift Services, the Manager, Gift Fund & Revenue Records manages all UC San Diego gift and private grant funds in the Advancement donor database, overseeing the analysis, creation, maintenance, and review of gift funds for the UC San Diego Foundation and The Regents. The position requires extensive interaction with faculty, senior administrators, and development staff to provide policy guidance, resolve complex issues, and ensure compliance with UC policies and accounting principles. Key responsibilities include supervising staff in gift fund database management, overseeing pledge payment documentation and tracking, maintaining records management systems, implementing retention policies, and leading process improvements. The role demands strong analytical skills, independent judgment, and expertise in gift fund policies to effectively manage relationships with campus partners while ensuring accurate and timely fund establishment, documentation, and departmental communication. Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and organizational policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative and practical ways. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for achieving solutions. The incumbent works closely with departments within Advancement, on campus and at UCOP, including Gift and Foundation Accounting, Gift Policy Administration, Donor Stewardship, other Advancement teams, campus Cashier's Office, UCOP Business Resource Center, and various other campus departments. Contacts are both internal and external to the department. QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $79,200 - $143,400 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $37.93 - $68.68 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
