About The Role

Supporting daily operational functions within the bank and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Responsible for supporting customer service efforts, performing operational and administrative tasks, and ensuring accurate processing of deposit-related activities.

Pay Scale: $20.18 - $30.26/hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Responsibilities:
    • Branch daily operations support.
    • Support branches by answering policy and procedural questions and researching nonstandard customer needs.
    • Cash vault servicing and monitoring for branches
    • Review and process daily reports as assigned.
    • Fulfill Research Requests from internal and external parties.
    • Perform New Account Reviews using Synapsis for onboarding accuracy.
  • eBanking Support:
    • Provide customer support for all eBanking products, including troubleshooting and user education.
    • Perform system maintenance.
    • Process domestic and international wire transfers with accuracy and compliance.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Adhere to Wheatland Bank Company Core Values.
    • Keeps management appropriately informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
    • Participate in Community Service and Bank sponsored activities that serve and support the mission and values of the Bank of the San Juans.
    • Represent Wheatland Bank in a professional manner which includes a professional image, confidentiality, a positive attitude, good attendance, punctuality, flexibility and adaptability in meeting bank and customer needs.
    • Keep work area tidy and maintain customer privacy.
    • Attends and participates in meetings as required.
    • Additional duties as requested or assigned.

About You

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • One to two years of similar or related banking experience, including time spent in preparatory position
  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school desired.
  • Experience with core banking systems and eBanking platforms.
  • Ability to operate a multi-line phone system, computer, and related software Understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work environment with moderate noise.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Light work. The employee is constantly required to stand and walk. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
