Summary:

The Alternate Project Manager (APM) supports the PM in managing and coordinating all contract activities and serves as the point of contact for the Government in the PM's absence. This full-time, on-site role requires a licensed healthcare professional with the ability to assume full PM responsibilities when needed.


Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist the PM in overseeing contract execution and healthcare service delivery
  • Act as the Government's point of contact when the PM is unavailable
  • Ensure APM presence on-site during core duty hours of each training day and any additional training days
  • Travel to other FLETC Training Delivery Points (TDPs) as necessary
  • Support operational planning, staffing, and quality assurance initiatives
  • Make business decisions and act on behalf of the Prime Contractor
  • Maintain exclusive dedication to this contract without involvement in other contracts
  • Coordinate with PM to ensure telework schedules do not overlap

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to step into PM responsibilities seamlessly when required
  • Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic training environment

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an associate's, baccalaureate, or graduate nursing program for Registered Nurses located in a State, the District of Columbia, or a U.S. territory accredited by The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). In cases of graduates of foreign schools of professional nursing, possession of a current, full, active and unrestricted registration will meet the requirement of graduation from an approved school of professional nursing
  • Shall possess one or both of the following licenses for the assigned duty station: (1) Current, full and unrestricted license as Registered Nurse, or (2) a current, full and unrestricted multistate license as part of the Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC). Any changes to license shall be reported to the employer and the CO/COR immediately
  • Minimum three (3) years professional nursing experience
  • Minimum three (3) years supervisory nursing experience with a minimum of three (3) consecutive years' experience. Within the last three (3) years, the APM shall have successfully managed a Health Unit, an Urgent Care Clinic, Doctor's Office, or Emergency Department.
  • Must have a Public Trust clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing; graduate degree in nursing of related field preferred
