We're seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Early Learning Director to help lead our early education programs. In this role, you'll support the overall administration of our center, ensuring a safe, engaging, and enriching environment where children can thrive.

Working alongside the Director, you'll play a key role in program excellence, staff support, compliance, and family engagement-all while being part of a mission-driven team that makes a real impact in the community.


What You'll Do:


  • Support the delivery of high-quality, developmentally appropriate curriculum that promotes growth in all areas-social, emotional, cognitive, and physical.



  • Collaborate with teachers to create engaging classroom experiences that inspire children's curiosity and learning.



  • Assist with staff hiring, training, coaching, and professional development to foster a strong, supportive team.



  • Ensure compliance with EEC licensing regulations, YMCA policies, and safety standards.



  • Build meaningful relationships with families, ensuring strong communication and support.



  • Contribute to program enrollment, assessments, and community engagement efforts.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.



  • EEC Director I required; Director II preferred.



  • Strong knowledge of EEC regulations.



  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.



  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Publisher) and/or Google Suite.



  • Willingness to complete required trainings within designated timeframes (e.g., 51A online training, EEC trainings, Child Abuse Prevention).



  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.



  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds.




Physical Demands:


  • Ability to walk, stand, and sit (including on the floor) for extended periods of time.



  • Must be able to lift and/or assist children up to 50 pounds.



  • Ability to lift and carry food and supplies up to 20 pounds.



  • Position may involve bending, kneeling, leaning, and walking regularly.



  • Visual and auditory ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergencies.



  • Comfortable working in an environment with exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids.



  • Ability to remain alert and engaged for several hours at a time.



  • Effective verbal communication skills to convey information clearly and concisely.



  • Ability to view and enter data for prolonged periods.
