Dewberry is currently seeking a Rail & Transit Architecture Lead to work in our Boston, MA office.

Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate!

This strategic hire for Dewberry's National Architecture Practice is an opportunity to join our Transportation Market Segment. This is an exciting leadership position for the right candidate, with existing projects in New York City and Washington DC metro areas, and a strategic vision to grow the practice to Boston and beyond.

The firm maintains a robust resume of rail transit related structures, primarily focused on rail station design and rehabilitation. We focus on design opportunities in New York City and Washington DC metro areas, including service expansion, ADA accessibility upgrades and improvements, and state of good repair projects. We have delivered this work in a variety of delivery platforms including conventional Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build.

Dewberry intends to grow this practice geographically through expansion into the Boston, Massachusetts metropolitan area, working from our established office in Boston.

We are seeking a Rail & Transit Architecture Lead to grow this initiative. This individual will work closely with our Architecture Practice and experienced Engineering Teams to expand our portfolio to include larger geographies and project typologies.

Responsibilities

How will you do this?

    Collaborate across geographies and disciplines to pursue, win, and deliver Rail & Transit work for Dewberry.
  • Work closely with Clients, managing relationships and day-to-day individual project needs.
  • Work closely with internal teams to conceptualize, design, and produce project documentation.
  • Participate in Business Development and Marketing activities, independently and in conjunction with others, including RFPs and Interviews.
  • Work directly with new & existing Clients to develop and maintain robust relationships, including day-to-day Project Management for key projects.
  • Supervise internal teams in the preparation of design deliverables for all phases of design.
  • Set, monitor and maintain project budgets, work plans, and schedules through all phases of the design process.


Required Skills & Required Experience

We are looking for:

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience, with demonstrated experience in rail and transit related structures, including rail stations.
  • Interest, supporting portfolio, and client relationships focused on the design of urban transportation infrastructure.
  • Active architecture license in Massachusetts, with the ability to obtain reciprocal licensure in other states.
  • Demonstrated experience in the management and delivery of projects for Rail and Transportation agencies.
  • Working knowledge of Codes and regulations that govern this work.
  • Keen interest in business development including the preparation of technical and cost proposals.

Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record and ability to pass a driving record background check.
