Grounds & Light Maintenance

Are you skilled at keeping landscapes beautiful and handling small repairs to help make our residents feel at home? Gorman and Company is looking for a skilled, part time Grounds & Light Maintenance Technician at UC-Carbon, our 90-unit apartment community in Madison, WI!

As a Grounds & Light Maintenance Technician you will:

Team up with the maintenance staff to handle lawn care, trimming, and cleanup.
Assist with outdoor repairs - painting, changing light bulbs, and fence maintenance.
Support outside contractors and coordinate with vendors as needed.
Help track supplies and keep groundskeeping tools in good condition.
Monitor and maintain irrigation and drainage systems.
Attend team trainings to sharpen skills and stay updated.

What do I need to qualify to be a Grounds & Light Maintenance Technician?

Must have your own vehicle and a valid driver's license.
Previous grounds keeping / landscaping / maintenance experience required.
Excellent mechanical aptitude with ability to operate lawn equipment.
Must be able to read work orders / service requests.
Good safety habits.
Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
