Essential Job Duties
The Employer Relations & Marketing Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting employer engagement, marketing and communications for the department's College Career Center. Serving a wide range of stakeholders across undergraduate and graduate business programs, this role blends event coordination with stakeholder communication and marketing expertise. The ideal candidate is highly organized, collaborative, and skilled at managing details while thinking strategically about engagement with students, employers, faculty, and alumni. The Coordinator will lead the promotion and execution of recruiting events and campaigns, create compelling content across platforms, ensure "white-glove" service for corporate partners, and contribute to the Career Center's reputation as a proactive and professional hub for career development.

Key Responsibilities:

Event Support & Employer Relations Coordination (50%)

  • Provide support as needed to the Administrative Support Associate in planning and execution of a wide range of in-person and virtual employer engagement events (e.g., coffee chats, panels, info sessions, TREKs, career fairs, etc.).
  • Communicate regularly with employer partners, corporate recruiters, and internal stakeholders to coordinate event details.
  • Represent the Career Center as a professional, informed host-providing high-touch service for our stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update employer contacts and manage job postings in Symplicity (ePACK) and 12Twenty platforms.
  • Coordinate the annual undergraduate and graduate recruiting calendar, including deadlines, logistics, and communication touchpoints.
  • Support employer sponsorship efforts and help ensure sponsor benefits are fulfilled through the college's Partners Program.



Marketing, Communications & Campaigns (40%)

  • Design and execute marketing campaigns to promote events and career programs across digital channels, in partnership with the Career Center team and the College Marketing & Communications (MarCom).
  • Create and manage multi-platform content for email, newsletters (e.g., JobHowl), social media (Instagram, LinkedIn, 12twenty, Navigate), and on-campus displays (e.g., banners, posters, hallway displays).
  • Lead development and curation of digital assets, including student career stories, highlight videos, and evergreen career resources.
  • Develop segmented communications plans to target messaging to students, alumni, faculty, and employer audiences across a variety of platforms.
  • Supervise the efforts of a marketing intern and/or work-study student; assign projects aligned with marketing objectives and offer mentorship.

Program & Project Management (10%)

  • Serve as project manager for select initiatives, including hallway content updates, event collateral creation, and new program rollouts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including MarCom, faculty, student organizations, and alumni engagement staff to drive visibility of Career Center programs.
  • Support the launch and success of strategic initiatives, such as the inaugural College Partnership Program.

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience with promotional content and stakeholder messaging.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Google Workspace. Ability to quickly learn internal platforms (e.g., Symplicity, 12Twenty).
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines, balance event logistics with creative tasks, and collaborate effectively with internal and external partners.
  • Experience in digital asset creation using tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud
