About the Job

Law School IT Services is hiring at temp / casual, hourly Law Technician working no more than 14 hours per week.

The employee:

  • Must be able to work onsite from; 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM Monday through Thursday, 1:00 PM - 6:00PM on Fridays, at least 1-2 shifts a week.
  • Availability for non-scheduled/weekend event support hours as needed.
  • Summer hours available for training and inventory/equipment management.

Expectations of a shift for technician:

  • Set up and operate multimedia and audio-visual equipment in classrooms and auditoriums.
  • Assisting with recording classes, class exercises and special events.
  • Edit, manage and provide copies of recording files to requesting faculty and staff.
  • Provide and assist instructors in use of multimedia equipment.
  • Managing loaned multimedia equipment.
Qualifications

Minimum and Essential Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of the operation, set-up and troubleshooting of computers and audio-visual presentation/recording devices and applications.
  • Verbal communication skills and customer service focused attitude and reliability in providing assistance and instruction.
  • Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Knowledge of and ability to schedule, start and support Zoom meetings for the purpose of recording and web conferencing.
  • High School Diploma

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in instructional technology or technical aspects of theater, television, or concert production helpful.
  • Background with audio/video recording, audio/video editing, web/tele-conferencing, live-to-web video streaming.
  • Some formal secondary education and/or degree.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $25.00 per hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
