Conducts research in the field of soil science, with a focus on investigating the physical, chemical, and biological properties of soils. Perform structured research-related work assignments. Identifies problems and relevant issues in straightforward situations, assesses potential responses using standard procedures, and makes sound decisions accordingly. Works as a member of a research team. Receives instruction, guidance and direction from PI and others. Minimum of 6 months for position appointment. Qualifications

Through research, teaching, and outreach we seek to: improve and protect the quality of soil, air, and water resources in natural and managed ecosystems; enhance agricultural and forest productivity and sustainability; predict and mitigate impacts of environmental and climate change on ecosystems and society; and provide science based knowledge for improved decision making and a better informed citizenry.
