Position Title: Paint Prep and Finish Wage: $19.00/Hour Shift: 1st Shift Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM Do you have experience with paint prep and sand blasting? Then this could be your next opportunity. Apply today Paint Prep and Finish Responsibilities: - Masks and unmasks various metal materials prior to and after painting - Moves products from semi-trailers to wagons - Sand-paints and primes metal objects of considerable weight and dimensions - Performs stenciling, cleaning, installation of product and/or pieces - Uses the overhead crane, forklift, and standing "tugger" to safely move product throughout shop - Communicates with supervisors and coworkers to assure safety, efficiency and quality of product - Shifts priorities as needed to improve productivity to meet customer deadlines - Attends staff meetings at start of each shift - Maintains safety training and testing for required equipment - Adheres to all company safety rules and practices and wears protective equipment as directed - Properly maintains material handling equipment - Responsible for tracking time allocated to various jobs and submit an accurate time card at the end of each shift/day - Other duties as assigned by the management team Requirements For Paint Prep and Finish: - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form - Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, and procedure manuals - Ability to communicate with other employees of the organization - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals - Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent - Works well independently and with others - Ability to be on your feet for up to approximately 8-12 hours per day - Hours may vary depending on workload, and overtime may be required - High school diploma - Three to five years of production experience - Forklift and/or overhead crane experience is a plus QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
