WHAT YOU'LL DO
This is a unique opportunity to shape and expand a newly formed IT Shared Services function. The IT Shared Services Manager will lead a small but growing team that currently includes a Business Analyst and an Enterprise Platform Support resource. Working closely with the VP of IT, the Manager will define the team's direction, scope, and responsibilities while also serving as a hands-on Project Manager for priority initiatives. The Shared Services team will continue to grow across all disciplines (project management, quality assurance, business analysis, and enterprise platform support) providing the Manager with the opportunity to build a high-performing, cross-functional group from the ground up. The IT organization as a whole is small but expanding, offering significant opportunity for impact and influence. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and perform hands-on project management for priority initiatives during the initial phase.
- Collaborate closely with the VP of IT to further define and evolve the Shared Services team's strategy, scope, and responsibilities.
- Work with the VP of IT to design and implement a prioritization process to triage all incoming IT requests, partnering with business stakeholders to assign priority based on business value metrics.
- Manage and mentor current Shared Services staff (Business Analyst and Platform Support) while building out additional roles across all disciplines.
- Develop and implement best practices and standardized methodologies across project management, QA, BA, and enterprise platform support functions.
- Engage with business and IT stakeholders to understand requirements, manage expectations, and ensure smooth delivery of shared services.
- Manage resource allocation and prioritize shared services support across multiple projects and business units as the team grows.
- Monitor project and service delivery metrics, providing regular updates to leadership.
- Build strong working relationships across the IT organization and business units to facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within Shared Services and the greater IT organization.
- Plan for team growth and skills development as the shared services function matures and expands.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 8+ years of IT experience with demonstrated project management skills.
- Experience leading or working across multiple IT disciplines such as QA, business analysis, and enterprise platform support is preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
