FACILITIES VEHICLE FLEET PORTER
Under the general supervision of the Director of Facilities Management, the Facilities Vehicle Fleet Porter provides support and assistance to the Director of Facilities Management performing general fleet vehicle maintenance, service, and inspection work for Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network (DWIHN) facilities. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA'S)
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of full-time paid experience working as automotive vehicle porter or vehicle detailer.
REQUIRED LICENSE(S). A valid State of Michigan Driver's Chauffeurs License with a safe and acceptable driving record. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, this position is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions on facility grounds. This employee is also exposed to a work environment that may be extremely noisy. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. This position is very active and requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. The employee must frequently lift or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Travel within Wayne County and the surrounding counties is expected for this position. This position requires occasional evening, weekend, holiday, and on call work assignments.
