THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will supervise care managers in programs including the Older Adult Protective Services, Guardianship, PA-MEDI, Options, Family Caregiver Support Program, Grandparent Program, and Consumer Reimbursement Program. This involves training care managers in case records, policies, and other job duties, as well as preparing the on-call rotation schedule to ensure teams will always have what they need to effectively support seniors and their families with our services. Your responsibilities will also involve arranging, developing, delegating, and evaluating public relations of aging programs. This includes coordinating public and inter-agency education in addition to developing cooperative working relationship with other agencies. Our team will also rely on you to receive and review all reports of need for Protective Services and assist the deputy administrator with various reports as needed. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Three years of experience in public or private social work and a Bachelor's Degree; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training including successful completion of 12 semester hours of college level courses in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, or other related social sciences.

  • Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Potter County. If no eligible candidates who live within Potter County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • You must pass a background investigation.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
