SENIOR POSTGRESQL DEVELOPER

***POSITION IS ONSITE IN NORCO, CA***

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PostgreSQL Developer to join our team in Norco, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing PostgreSQL databases to support mission-critical applications. You will work closely with engineers and stakeholders to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability across our systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain PostgreSQL databases and schemas
• Develop and optimize complex queries, functions, and stored procedures
• Perform database performance tuning and troubleshoot issues
• Implement replication, partitioning, indexing, and backup strategies
• Ensure database security and compliance with organizational standards
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and system admins to support application needs
• Provide mentorship and guidance on database best practices

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with PostgreSQL development and administration
• Strong knowledge of schema design, indexing, and query optimization
• Experience with replication, partitioning, and clustering strategies
• Proficiency in performance tuning and troubleshooting database bottlenecks
• Solid experience with Linux environments and scripting (Bash, Python, or similar)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team
• Secret Security Clearance Required
• U.S. Citizenship Required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with other databases (Oracle, MySQL, etc.)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools
• Knowledge of data modeling and ETL processes
