Spire Hospitality is looking for a dynamic and visionary Director of Marketing & Business Development to take charge of two of Central Florida's most distinctive destinations: The Grove Resort & Water Park and The Terraces at The Grove.

Essential Job Functions:



  • Supervise, administer, and ensure timely completion of all Sales & Marketing Department activities.
  • Develop and maintain market awareness to anticipate revenue opportunities and implement proactive strategies.
  • Meet or exceed established sales and marketing goals.
  • Operate within established sales and marketing budgets, monitoring account production and market trends.
  • Develop strategies to increase market share when revenue penetration goals are not met.
  • Utilize sales management systems to manage accounts, track performance, and generate reports.
  • Prepare accurate monthly reports and coordinate the annual Sales & Marketing Plan.
  • Ensure compliance with company sales policies, SOPs, and brand standards.
  • Support business development initiatives by identifying and cultivating new opportunities.
  • React to negative marketplace trends through promotions, blitzes, or targeted strategies.

Hotel Specific:



  • Must be flexible to work varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
  • Represent the hotel at local and national industry events to build relationships and expand the business pipeline.



Physical Demands:



  • Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
  • Frequent standing and walking, with occasional lifting of items up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Perform other duties as required, including participation in VIP events and staff meetings.



Qualifications:

Education:



  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field required.
  • Master's degree preferred.



Experience:



  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive hotel sales/marketing experience; OR 4 years with a bachelor's degree; OR 5 years with a 2-year degree.
  • Previous supervisory experience required.
  • Proficiency in hotel industry technology systems required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
