Performs responsible and moderately complex management-level duties by overseeing the Patient Access Department of Monument Health's Healing Environments. Serves as member of the management team and ensures that assigned programs, functions and operations conform to organizational goals and objectives. Duties include significant responsibility for formulating and administering policies and procedures in assigned areas, as well as providing management support and advice to superiors. Assigned operations and functions primarily emphasize the administrative and financial aspects of patient access and admissions. Demonstrates a caring and respectful attitude to all patients, family members, visitors, and fellow employees as defined in the Monument Health Standards of Performance. Additional Requirements Required: Education - High School Diploma/GED Equivalent Certification - Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM) certification - within 1 year of employment Experience - 3+ years healthcare Education - Bachelors degree in Related Field Experience - 3+ years of Admissions Experience Physical Requirements: Medium work - exerting up to 10 pounds of force constantly (67-100% of the time), and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently (34-66% of the time), and or up to 50 pounds of force occassionally (up to 33% of the time), and/or up to 50 pounds seldomly to move objects.
