Project Manager - Shared Services Technology

Shared Services Technologyis a full lifecycle development team delivering enterprise-wide solutions supporting critical corporate functions including Human Resources, Finance, Procurement, Legal, Corporate Real Estate, and more. TheProject Managerwill lead multiple strategic initiatives aligned with KeyBank's corporate objectives, initially focusing on a high-priority project in the Human Resources Technology domain. Success requires close collaboration with Technical Leads, Business Analysts, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. The Project Manager serves as the central driver of execution, bridging business needs with technical delivery, ensuring scope clarity, and maintaining momentum across all project phases. Key responsibilities include managing activities through planning, development, and testing, documenting business requirements, creating actionable plans and milestones, coordinating test strategies, and managing project financials. Additional duties include managing scope changes, maintaining traceability documentation, escalating risks and dependencies, and ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets. The ideal candidate will lead Waterfall and Hybrid initiatives across the Shared Services technology landscape and provide guidance on Agile methodologies and quarterly PI Planning. The Project Manager must also ensure project related solutions comply with KeyBank's enterprise security, IT and operational standards, separation of duty protocols, and regulatory requirements.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, timelines, milestones, testing strategies, and resource allocation for multiple concurrent projects.
  • Facilitate and lead high-priority meetings with stakeholders at all levels, driving consensus, clarifying objectives, and maintaining project momentum.
  • Oversee and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including requirements, test plans, and stakeholder signoffs, while ensuring critical requirements are identified, aligned with business and technology needs, and effectively managed throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with business analysts to translate high-level business goals into actionable tasks, test cases, and deliverables.
  • Proactively identify, escalate, and manage project risks, scope deviations, dependencies, and potential blockers, ensuring transparency, timely resolution, and effective communication of changes and impacts across teams and systems to safeguard project timelines.
  • Collaborate with Technical Leads, internal and external partners to ensure technical feasibility, integration points, and solution alignment, including understanding of system architecture and dependencies.
  • Adapt to a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities while leading and supporting project teams which could include off-hours to ensure timely progress, testing, and successful releases.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or minimum 5+ years' experience in a Project Manager role with proven success delivering projects exceeding $500k.
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience managing Agile/Kanban teams and projects in Jira.
  • Background in overseeing data-driven projects in complex integrated environments with systems of record and data tables, including experience interpreting KPIs and data quality metrics.
  • Experience in gathering business, functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Experience in Leading through Influence and navigating difficult conversations.
  • Experience uncovering, identifying and escalating risk related to technology project implementations

Preferred Qualifications

  • CAPM or PMP Certification
  • CSM Certification
  • Familiarity with Human Resources, Finance, Procurement, Legal, and Corporate Real Estate domains, including related applications and Workday modules.
  • Experience with Human Resource and enterprise systems such asWorkday, ServiceNow, Jira, Jira Align, Confluence & NICE Incentive Compensation.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $80,000.00 to $120,000.00 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
