Senior Unified Communications Engineer

Location:

We are seeking a senior level Unified Communications engineer to join the team responsible for design, implementation, and support for Key's voice and web collaboration tools. You will be part of a global network support environment that manages the UC infrastructure, SIP trunks, and voice network monitoring tools. The primary focus of this position is performance tuning and testing, installation, maintaining the UC product suite. This position will give you a tremendous opportunity to join a global organization as a Senior UC Engineer.

Essential Job Function:

• Candidate will be responsible for designing, building, securing, and managing Unified Communications solutions.
• Work on complex tasks, projects, activities, or support issues that require increased skill in multiple technical environments and has expertise in several products/systems.
• Interface with vendors as well as other Key Technology & Operations teams to maintain and support the environment
• Perform product evaluation, selection and integration responsibilities.
• Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of situation requires evaluation and judgment.
• Ensure the control, reliability, performance, and security of all distributed platforms and client devices.
• Establish standards and guidelines.
• Create and maintain effective relationships with internal clients.
• Escalate issues and problems to senior team members and management as required.
• Support and coach the Unified Communications support and enterprise service desk in effectively supporting KeyBank's workforce.
• Available for after-hours troubleshooting

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 6+ Years of Voice Network Engineer Experience
• Knowledge of SIP trunking & troubleshooting
• CCNA Voice or very strong Call Manager background
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and VoIP networking
• Excellent understanding of various signaling protocols
• Experience working with Telco providers
• Hands on experience supporting Cisco Communications Manager, Unity, Emergency Responder, and Voice Gateways
• Digital Certificate Security skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Data networking experience
• UC design experience
• Session Border Controller support experience
• Experience supporting web collaboration tools
• Trade floor voice platform experience
• Understanding of Telco connectivity
• Experience with UC cloud solutions including designs and migrations
• Environment administration (building, patching, securing, maintaining, and troubleshooting)
• Understanding of e911 regulations
• Ability to work independently as well as lead/guide small groups
• Ability to create technical documentation for peers and junior engineers
• Ability to translate technical concepts through communication and documentation to individuals
• Display composure during demanding situations in addition to day to day activities.
• Action oriented candidates with good problem solving, customer focus, creativity skills.
• Candidates with ability to dealing with ambiguity and desire to learn on the fly.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Understanding of business factors influencing technology.
• Contributor to corporate technical direction.
• Displays leadership in team activities.
• Understanding of distributed systems architecture and comprehensive knowledge of multiple disciplines.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $90,000.00 to $115,000.00 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
