Facilities and Equipment:

The Texas Oncology- Odessa practice provides a full range of external beam radiation therapy procedures. Equipment in use at the Odessa location includes: Varian 21iX, GE RT Lightspeed CT scanner, Elekta microSelectron HDR, Oncentra TPS for HDR treatment planning, Eclipse TPS, MOSAIQ ROIS, RadCalc, Mapcheck3, SNC Routine, IC Profiler, and 3DS scanning system

Awards are discretionary and based on your position, performance, and potential for future career growth at Texas Oncology. Awards are reviewed and approved during the annual compensation review. Responsibilities

Preferred Experience:

  • A working knowledge:
    • Varian linear accelerators
    • Elekta/Nucletron microselectron HDR afterloader and Oncentra TPS
    • Eclipse TPS
    • ARIA and MOSAIQ Record and Verify system
    • HDR, SBRT and SRS procedures
    • Radiation Safety Officer duties for both x-ray registration and RAM licenses

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Medical physics from an accredited college or university
  • Graduate from a CAMPEP accredited residency program
  • ABR board certification (or equivalent)
  • Full Texas licensure
  • HDR planning and treatment experience
  • The ability to be added to the RAM license
  • Experience with SRS, SBRT, and HDR
  • Strong organization and oral / written communication skills
  • The ability to travel on an occasion, as needed, basis to support the sister clinic in Midland, Texas (20 Miles)
