For more information, visit Worley.com Purpose of the RoleThe HSE Trainer supports project teams by providing expertise, guidance, and oversight on health, safety, and environmental practices. This role ensures that projects are delivered safely, responsibly, and in alignment with Worley's commitment to sustainability and operational excellence. The position plays a key role in identifying, eliminating, and mitigating risks to protect people, assets, and the environment while enabling projects to achieve their objectives. Key Responsibilities
Partner with Project Managers, Construction Managers, and cross-functional teams to embed HSE programs and initiatives across all phases of project delivery. Monitor, assess, and enhance site safety conditions, identifying potential hazards and implementing proactive measures to prevent injury, illness, property damage, or environmental harm. Provide technical guidance, coaching, and support to project teams, ensuring compliance with Worley's HSE policies, standards, and applicable regulations. Conduct incident investigations, risk assessments, and audits, delivering recommendations and supporting implementation of corrective actions. Support the development and delivery of HSE training, awareness campaigns, and engagement activities to foster a safety-focused culture. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to integrate sustainable practices into project operations, aligning with Worley's ambition of deriving the majority of revenue from sustainability-related projects. Prepare and contribute to proposals, presentations, and reports that communicate HSE performance, risks, and improvement opportunities. Act as a trusted advisor to project teams by applying professional judgment and practical solutions to complex challenges.

University degree or equivalent in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering, or a related discipline; relevant industry certifications are advantageous. Proven professional experience in HSE roles within the energy, chemicals, or resources sectors, with strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental principles, practices, and regulations. Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex tasks, prioritize effectively, and recommend solutions to emerging issues. Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to engage teams, deliver clear guidance, and encourage ownership of HSE practices. Experience supporting project-based work, including small-scale assignments or contributing to large-scale, multi-stakeholder projects. Competence in using HSE systems, processes, and tools, with the ability to troubleshoot and guide others in their effective application. Commitment to fostering a culture of safety, responsibility, and continuous improvement while aligning with Worley's purpose of delivering a more sustainable world. Collaborative mindset with the ability to provide technical guidance and occasionally supervise or coordinate the activities of other team members.
