JOB SUMMARY: The Director, Engineering & Analytics role leads the R&D function for the Health Analytic Solutions team. This role entails managing a team of talented product developers and data engineers to quickly translate business needs into proof-of-concepts and hand off production ready requirements to our IT and Product teams. This position requires expertise in healthcare data analytics and the ability to translate complex data into actionable business intelligence.
JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Lead a cross-functional team of product developers and data engineers. Recruit, coach, set goals, and conduct performance reviews while fostering an agile, fail-fast culture.
2. Run rapid PoC springs. Plan backlog spikes, allocate dev/engineering resources and deliver working demos on schedule.
3. Works with Dir, Platform Operations and deploys data engineers to measure and improve data quality across all solutions
4. Deploys and works with product developers to develop new features or analytic solutions that fit within the Health Analytic Solutions ecosystem.
5. Review and monitor code for best practices -- enforce style guides, secure-coding standards, test coverage and peer reviews to keep prototypes production ready.
6. Validate technical and commercial fit. Assess scalability, complicate and performance for all development efforts; present go/no-go recommendations to leadership
7. Collaborates with Software Architect to package production-ready requirements. Converts successful PoCs into user stores, architecture digrams and acceptance criteria for hand-off to IT and Product.
8. Select, develop, and evaluate staff to ensure the efficient operation of department.
9. Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments.
10. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements.
11. Demonstrate Company's Core Competencies and values held within.
