The Senior Analyst - Digital/Commercial Relationship will serve as a key liaison between the AES Clean Energy Digital Team and the Commercial Team, supporting the Digital/Commercial Business Relationship Manager (BRM). This role is responsible for capturing, analyzing, and prioritizing digital demands from commercial stakeholders, with a strong focus on enabling growth, efficiency, and innovation in the energy markets sector.

The Analyst will be instrumental in advising AES CE Commercial stakeholders, shaping high-level digital requirements, building initial business cases, and ensuring that digital initiatives align with global corporate guidelines. This role will also work hands-on with systems such as Salesforce, Allegro, and other energy market platforms, ensuring optimal use and integration to support commercial goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial Partnership & Demand Management

    • Conduct workshops with the commercial team to deeply understand business needs, market dynamics, and operational challenges.

    • Serve as the voice of the commercial customer within the digital organization, ensuring their priorities are understood and addressed.

    • Translate business requirements into high-level digital solutions, aligned with AES Clean Energy's strategic objectives.

  • Digital Solution Development & Delivery

    • Develop business cases, solution roadmaps, and proof-of-concept pilots for new technologies.

    • Identify and evaluate market solutions, leveraging tools like Salesforce and Allegro to enhance commercial workflows and decision-making.

    • Ensure energy market system enhancements meet business expectations and regulatory requirements.

  • Project & Agile Delivery Management

    • Apply Agile methodologies to plan, execute, and deliver digital initiatives, working closely with cross-functional teams.

    • Collaborate with corporate IT and external vendors to implement, test, and roll out new platforms or features.

    • Drive continuous improvement through feedback loops, retrospectives, and performance reviews.

  • Training, Adoption & Support

    • Provide training to commercial teams to enhance adoption of technology and foster a digital-first mindset.

  • Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate resolutions with technical teams.

  • Monitor and ensure the quality of digital services delivered to the Commercial team.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Industry Knowledge:

    • Strong understanding of energy markets, commercial operations, and trading/scheduling processes.

    • Experience with Salesforce CRM and Allegro ETRM platforms, with the ability to advise on best practices and enhancements.

  • Technical & Project Skills:

    • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology for delivering digital projects.

    • Experience developing business cases, project roadmaps, and proof-of-concept evaluations.

    • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to liaise between business and technical stakeholders.

  • Interpersonal & Strategic Skills:

    • Ability to build credibility and trust with commercial leaders.

    • Strong communication and presentation skills, able to convey technical concepts in business terms.

    • Skilled in conflict resolution, stakeholder alignment, and collaborative problem-solving.

    • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

This is a hybrid role based in Houston, Texas, requiring close collaboration with both on-site commercial teams and corporate/global digital teams. The Analyst will be a key enabler of commercial growth through digital innovation, ensuring AES Clean Energy remains competitive in the evolving energy marketplace.
