POSITION SCOPE
A Scale Attendant/Equipment Operator is responsible for accurately and efficiently monitoring and recording materials exiting the work area. Has experience with operating a Water Truck according to project specifications. Watering the haul road and/or work site, maintaining and operating equipment on a daily basis on a crushing plant. Perform general maintenance, repair, and service wash or crushing plant equipment as required or directed by supervisor. Loader Operator experience is also a MUST. This position operates a wheel loader to load and transport material such as dirt, rocks, gravel, sand, and demolition debris. The Loader Operator is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the equipment, as well as maintaining and servicing the machine.


PRIMARY DUTIES




  • Assist with setup and tear down of plants


  • Individuals must be able to lift objects weighing 80 lb. on a regular basis


  • Perform all duties within safety guidelines set up by MSHA/OSHA and company policy


  • Determine material exiting pit to properly bill the customers


  • Receive payment from customers; provide receipts to customers


  • Balance the daily receipts to ensure accurate recordkeeping and appropriate billing


  • Answer the telephone and provide general information to callers


  • Maintain the cleanliness of the work area. Perform other job-related duties, as assigned.


  • Acts in a professional, courteous and cooperative manner towards customers and co-workers


  • Ability to adhere to Company policies and rules that are set forth; promotes the Company's safety standards; works with a sense of honesty and trustworthiness


  • Perform other duties as assigned




REQUIREMENTS



  • High School Diploma or GED


  • 1 Year experience operating a Loader


  • Water Truck Operator experience

  • Ability to use a wide range of scales accurately
  • Good attention to detail
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Experience in a previous position that required the handling of cash and balancing cash and/or receipts
  • Experience in an environment outside the home with computers and various software programs
  • Precision - Attention to detail
  • Ability to work with a range of measuring tools
  • Analytical and organized
  • Able to work collaboratively
