  Position Summary 
 
 Implements and executes the Tisch School of the Arts' strategic corporate and foundation initiatives, as well as donor stewardship. Interfaces closely with the Dean's Office, creates and manages meeting materials, and generates annual critical communication plans. Drafts high-level correspondence with school stakeholders. Works across various constituencies to cultivate and advance new funding streams while stewarding existing individual and institutional supporters. Serves as the primary grant writer, managing all grant applications and reporting. Researches new funding opportunities for the school and highlights student, alumni, faculty, Dean's Council, donor, and parent accomplishments. Assesses, prioritizes, and resolves ad hoc and sensitive/confidential inquiries, and compiles and analyzes data and research to support institutional decision-making.  
 
  Qualifications 
 
 Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
  Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree Major in English, Communications, Journalism, or related fields.
  Required Experience: 5+ years of increasingly responsible relevant experience, including fundraising, grant writing, and corporate marketing or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  Preferred Experience: 5+ years Experience writing grant proposals and communications for a university, college, or non-profit organization. Experience synthesizing complex information.
  Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent organization and verbal and written communication skills. Outstanding writing and editing skills. Strong detail orientation, planning, interpersonal, and networking skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, effectively multi-task large-scale projects, creatively resolve problems, and meet deadlines. Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact positively and productively with diverse individuals. Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications. Discretion concerning sensitive and confidential donor information is required.
  Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite. Working knowledge of BBCRM or comparable fundraising software. Understanding and/or appreciation for the arts, as well as experience writing about arts and/or arts education  
 
  Additional Information 
 
 In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $81,000.00 to USD $99,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
