Position Summary: Ensures projects are planned, executed, and delivered to contractual standards for tolerance and quality.
This position will be under the direct supervision of the Project Manager and/or Operations Manager.

- Participate in initiatives that support compliance with State/Federal regulations and improve company programs

Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Knowledge of construction contracts; ability to read/analyze plans and specifications
- Hydrographic and conventional survey experience
- Experience with HYPACK and AutoCAD
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to abide by and enforce company policies and procedures
- Ability to comply with safety rules and regulations
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently
- Ability to work away from home at remote project locations for extended durations
- Reliability and motivation
- Ability to obtain TWIC
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors

Physical/Mental Requirements
The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable workplace accommodation.
Preferred Skills
The individual must also be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit within areas where it is required. This includes hard hats, safety glasses, life vests, respirators, earplugs, steel-toed shoes, personal flotation devices (PFDs), or other protective equipment as required by the work performed and the location where the work is being done.
In addition, a Project Engineer must also be capable of:
- Walking, stepping, climbing, or moving across varying heights and access parameters on job sites
- Standing, stooping, twisting, bending, crouching, kneeling, squatting, climbing, or sitting repetitively and/or for long periods
- Repetitive movements of feet, shoulders, arms, wrists, hands, and back
- Lifting and carrying 30 lbs individually; 30-60 lbs requires additional lifting means
- Pushing and pulling at peak force of 150 lbs
- Climbing stairs and/or vertical ladders 6 ft or higher
- Working in confined areas and/or at elevated heights
Adapting to temperature changes, outdoor conditions, and prolonged exposure to dusty, wet, or humid conditions, loud noises, and vibration
Safety, Attendance, and Compliance
- Employees must observe and fulfill all safety responsibilities as outlined in workplace safety training and actively work to maintain a safe workplace
- Failure to follow safety requirements may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination
- Regular attendance and punctuality are required
